You and I tend to agree a lot about films and television. I felt pretty much the same way about all four of the above. I might give Children of Men four hearts, because I thought it was stellar, but the extreme darkness really got to me.
Also, because I know you were looking for suggestions of movies to netflix (I hereby verb that to netflick) earlier, here is the most useful page ever on wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2006_in_film
I figure if you continue to be like me, you see trailers for films and think "wow, I'd like to see that," and then if you do happen to miss them in the theatre, every time you walk into a videostore (or your netflix queue) you can't remember a damned one of them :-)
