There's like a Mason-Dixson line across the country separating Pop and Coke. Weird. I didn't realize Pop was that popular. I'm from sodaland myself, but I always say Coke, but that's because I want a Coke. ;)
I always called it pop when I was a kid, then I moved to Los Angeles for a year and got used to calling it soda, then I moved back to Ohio and everybody looked at me weird when I called it soda, so now I just drink coffee most of the time to avoid the whole confusing issue.
Hee. That's funny. It's especially interesting to me that the whole eastern Missouri, southern Illinois area is like an island of "soda." And yep, that's what I call it. The first time I heard someone say "pop" I was so confused. And my first reaction to "coke" is "but I like Pepsi better."
That was very interesting. I always find regional stuff like that fascinating. My county was overwhelming "pop." No surprise there, but I was surprised that "pop" was the overall most common name. I'm also shocked my the level of "coke" in the south. I always thought it was more isolated. Weird...

Anyway, My county is split, 50/50 for coke/soda.
No pop here. Pop is what a bubble does. And as everyone knows, ther eare NO BUBBLES in soda.
