Cool fact: Allison's roommate just finished up her thesis film for school (graduate degree in directing from the AFI conservatory). Fact: Melora Hardin was in it. Fact: I'm so fucking jealous!

The mothers of the second graders are going out tonight. There was a big round of emails about where we were going, and how much fun it was going to be, and I emailed them back, and I bowed out, because I've been waiting for this since May. I also called into question whether or not they had a soul. Several suggested I TiVo it, but I just couldn't leave it to that sort of chance!

No, the night of the VM finale, I had a Christian Education Committee meeting at my church, and I really couldn't miss it in good conscience. I walked in and said, "If this runs long, I will cut you."

They don't really get me, I'm afraid.

Of course both places are in the same town, so I can't rule out the whole mystical convergence theory.
