it just goes on and on, my friend.

oh Twilight fandom. my eyes, they are rolling. who cares about the effing movie? movie adaptations of books are never satisfying. we all knew going in that casting Edward(and any of the Cullens, really) was going to be an impossible task because no human is as pretty as they're supposed to be.

see the movie. don't see the movie. i don't care. but all of this chicken little crap before a single shot has been filmed? BO-ring. i'm at least going to give the actors a chance to win me over. who knows, maybe they'll become the mental picture i have when i re-read the books or maybe the movie will be so different from the book that it will be unrecognizable. point is, we don't know. so how about we save the bitching and moaning until after we see the movie?

thus ends my soapbox climb...

Oh, I'm enjoying it. Mentally, I have a big bag of popcorn, and am sitting back chuckling.

i must be getting old because i don't even see the amusing. i've seen much more interesting fandom wank. this doesn't even rank. i think maybe the Buffy and VM fandoms spoiled me for the good drama. ;)

LOL You should ignore my text message ;)

You are so right. Just like what some SPN fans were saying when Katie Cassidy and the other female lead got cast. Let them earn our support or lack of, but they can't start off with either/or.

Amen. I just want the actors to be good. If they're convincing in their characterization, then I'm satisfied.

Honestly, I'm not really crazy about Robert Pattinson being cast as Edward, myself. I just can't see him in that capacity and it's not, because I thought Gaspard might get the role or that I thought James Franco would make the better Edward Cullen, either. I knew that none of that was going to happen, however, I expected something better or more substansial than this.

On that note, I completely adored Robert as Cedric in the HP movies. That should be enough there. I promise I won't be a crazy fangirl. I've already stated my thoughts on my journal and I'm just going to sit back and watch fandom explode. LMAO.

I'm not a part of the Twilight fandom at all (and I never plan on reading the books), but the wank-fest over this decision has made my week more enjoyable. It's so entertaining.

the books are really good, fluffy fun. i definitely recommend them. the fandom? eh. you have your crazies in every fandom. i mostly stick to the wank free comms. which tends to be the ones that DON'T involve the main ship of the books.
