so here's the thing. the first time i saw it, i saw it with a group of friends and we went to a restaurant beforehand and i had some drinks. i had a feeling i was going to need to be a little tipsy do deal with the crazy fangirls and the oozing cheese that was sure to come onscreen. turns out the fangirls were really well behaved. they didn't even squeal the first time RPattz came onscreen. i was also sitting next to a girl(a stranger) who was a sarcastic bitch just like me. so we had a good time snarking.

there's probably more that i'm forgetting, but yeah. this is the jist of it. didn't love it. didn't hate it. won't own it unless i end up loving the rest of movies and want a complete collection.

only a couple more hours and the UKers will be enjoying the season finale of Doctor Who!! then only an hour or so more until the rest of us in the world can join in the squee/wtf/aaaaaaaaaah(!!!)-ness of it. this week has been a nail-biter after that cliffhanger RTD left us with.

now i think i will go watch Forgetting Sarah Marshall to get my mind off how long i have to wait.

oh! p.s. i saw Wanted last night. didn't love it as much as i thought i would, but it was definitely entertaining and 2 hours or so of James McAvoy is never a bad thing. even if he was sporting a generic american accent.

i'm trying to decide how i want to spend my day. i have the house all to myself this weekend since my sister and the kids decided to go visit my other sister in memphis. the plan, really, is that there is no plan. i'm going to watch movies and generally lounge about. i'm just trying to figure out what i want to watch first. i think i'm in the mood for a RomCom. that leaves The Accidental Husband and Penelope. hmmm...

i also have two weeks or so of Torchwood to catch up on. i've been pretty impressed with it this season. last season was pretty hit or miss and they seemed too absorbed with trying to be "edgy" with all the sex. i wouldn't necessarily say that's been toned down this year, but it's definitely done in a more appealing way.

on a different note, RPattz is totally Edward Cullen for me now. look! he has topaz eyes!! Kristen has definitely become Bella too. i love that they are making small changes to her(like the chocolate brown contacts) to make her more like how i imagined Bella looking. i just hope i can be this excited when we finally start seeing pictures of Jacob pop up.

okay. going to watch a movie and maybe make a chef boyardee pizza for lunch. ttfn.

i have achieved my goal of watching 100 movies in 2007!! yay!! i even have two days to spare to watch more than that if i so choose. it was really touch and go there for a while on whether i'd actually get this accomplished. i really fell behind after the middle of the year. i enjoyed doing it though. i like being able to go back and see what movies i've seen this year and how i felt about them. i may do it again next year.

now i suppose i should choose a favorite. it's kind of tough, actually. there were many that i would never watch again(though for differing reasons), but there were also plenty that i ended up watching more than once this year. i really don't think i could choose between Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang and The Departed as my favorite. very different movies, but both fabulous. honorable mentions go to Zodiac and Stardust.

i just watched The Departed for the third time. this time with my father. he loved it too. (still as good as the first time in case you were wondering...)

i really can't wait for the dvd to come out on tuesday so i can watch all of the special features. that'll be the last of my best buy gift certificate from christmas.

The Departed? WOW. was Leo seriously not nominated for Best Actor for an Oscar? damn. i do believe this is now my favorite Leo movie. did anybody else feel like Matt Damon was just playing Matt Damon? could be my severe dislike of him, but he does cocky asshole very, very well. obviously this means 100 Movies has been updated. 17 movies in 5 weeks? not a bad start.

okay. so i just caught the last half hour or so of My Date With Drew, the documentary about a guy trying to get one date with Drew Barrymore. that was the most adorable documentary i've ever seen in my life. i need to see the whole thing now.

Donnie Darko has one of, if not the, most beautiful scores i've ever heard. i seriously could just listen to it all day. what about you? do you have a favorite?

it's so freaking nice to have cable and internet again. i'm watching The Breakfast Club for about the millionth time. i love this movie so freaking much. i could watch it every day and not get tired of it. so many quotable lines.

"screws fall out all the time, sir. the world's an imperfect place."
"why does andrew get to get up? if he gets up, we'll all get up. it'll be anarchy!"
"so it's sorta social. demented and sad, but social."

plus so many others. this is one of those movies that gets quoted constantly in my family. especially the "how'd you like to go fishing this weekend" quote. my cousin and i can recite the entire movie while watching. we drive others insane when we do so, but it's our way. *g*

ION, i just finished listening to the first ever VM podcast. it's a bit rough at the moment, but i have a feeling they will feel more comfortable as time goes on. listening to it kind of reminded me of the fun i used to have listening to Kitty and Candy on the Succubus Club. i miss those two.

i saw it tonight. very enjoyable movie, but those who told me i probably wouldn't enjoy it as much after seeing the masterpiece that is Batman Begins? you were right. don't get me wrong...i really liked it. it just didn't punch me in the gut and then kiss me to make it better like Bats did.

also? totally get everyone who said they didn't know who they were attracted to more in the movie. the pretty was almost unbearable at times. guh.

now...bed. so glad tomorrow is friday.
