six years. wow. a lot's changed in those six years and a lot hasn't. every year it gets harder to think of anything original to say. i guess the old stand-by is enough. my thoughts and prayers are with all those who were(and still are) affected by this day six years ago. ladymyst, i miss you. i sent you a nudge. i hope you get it and start posting with us all again. foxant10, i don't think i even need to really say anything. i'm just really glad you're still a part of my life.

on my way to bed, but i wanted to commemorate today before i did. want to know what the 10th anniversary of Buffy means to me? this. always and forever it will be the people it brought into my life. my life would be completely different if i hadn't started watching the show and ended up on a little posting board called the Bronze.

it was so wonderful posting with everyone today. i hope the rumours of a reunion PBP next year come to fruition because i'm so there. LA in february became like second nature to me and it feels weird that i haven't been in two years now.

in conclusion, Bronzers rock and i'm a better person for knowing all of you. *smoooooooooooooches* and *hugs*.

i just watched the first four eps of season one of VM. guys, this show was SO GOOD. it really made me realize how much i missed loving these characters and their relationships with each other. the drama. the comedy. the music. the lighting. the hairstyles. the clothes. THE KISS!! just...everything. i miss it. SO MUCH.

i might end up doing a complete rewatch because i really do need to remind myself why i fell in love with this show.

i also hunted around youtube and my hard drive for fanvids/faux trailers that will always be near and dear to my heart. youtube only really turned up a few faux trailers that naty_ and zimshan made. so i thought i'd upload the others to my webspace and share them in case any of you missed them or just wanted to revel in the nostalgia with me.

there's not a whole lot i can say about today that hasn't already been said. in fact, a lot of you experienced that day five years ago with me. so it'd be a bit repetitive of me to bring up those things. i really wish someone had thought to save those bronze boards back then. it was such a testament to what the bronze was all about.

when i hear september 11th, i automatically think of three people. two i know and one i just read online. the two i know are foxant10 and ladymyst. foxant10 was there that day. he worked in WTC5. if you want to read his account from that day, i saved it here. i strongly recommend you read it. it never fails to take me back to that day and the fear i felt. i made a post four years ago and i'm so glad i put these kind of things down where i can look back and remember them.

the second person i referred to earlier is ladymyst. she lost someone she loved on one of those planes. she's one of the most articulate and sensitive people i've ever known and reading her accounts of that day and the days(months, years...) after still make me weep for what she and so many other people lost.

the third person is Sarah Bunting. she has her own website, tomatonation.com. she was in NYC that day and has a chilling account of what happened to her and the kindness of strangers during such an awful time. that article is archived here. go read. you won't be sorry.

i didn't really have time to reflect today. work has been too insane. maybe that's for the best...i don't know. i did want to post to let everyone know i'm thinking of them. especially those who lost someone that day.

i'm feeling nostalgic after looking through some old entries and i decided to fire up the old computer to see what kind of files were still there. i found this and felt the need to share:

ohmygosh, you guys!! guess what i just found! the video i made of the Buffy sites tour we did after PBP 2003! how random. i've been missing all of you so much and then BAM! there's the tape and i'm watching and it's like i'm there all over again. *sniff*

there was chi2cali, foxant10, carpedi7, andeeh, dreaminghawk, notsoshygirl, hambam, kestratroi, dunlin, the red hood and hambam's sister Tiffany.

the video is much too short, but it was so nice to see live action bronzers again. the part where we're at the Ennis Brown house is still my favorite. "fucking pedestrians!!" hahahaha....good times. good times.

i really wish i'd taken a video camera every year and just kept it running during all of our antics. it'd be so much fun to watch now.

emraldmyst's post about finally getting her hands on a copy of the song What My Heart Says reminded me of the height of my CK love. kinda makes me want to dig out my VHS tape of Love Song and watch it after all these years. i searched the HD for CK related things that i hadn't deleted and i came across a couple of things. i deleted the copies of What My Heart Says with CK and Monica though. i was going to upload that for emraldmyst.

i did find a video clip of the singing portion of Dead End. it's here for anyone interested. kaidysoft, i'm looking at you. though it is semi-spoilery for season two, but i figure you're already watching the seasons out of order anyway. so it won't matter much.

i still remember the airing of that ep and the subsequent pimping for Insane for Kane at the bronze. ahhh...the good ol' days. before i had my first Buffy/Angel star disappoint me.



using the only CK icon that hasn't been rotated out because it's just too perfect for when my hands get away from me...

so in keeping with the nostalgia bug, i dug out my tapes that i made during PBP 2002. surprisingly my sister had the fake VHS cassette thing with her that i could play them in. it's so crazy watching all of that now and knowing what happens 3 years down the line to some of those friendships. not to mention the actors and what's become of their lives/careers. i've only watched the tape with the actual PBP on it and on that same tape was the trip foxant10, andeeh and i made to santa monica. i remember it being freezing cold standing out on that pier with andy and ant both avoiding the camera as much as they possibly could. heh.

let's see...what else? i got a little bit of common ro, FSM, andy hallett(with dancing joss/aly/alexis)performing. taped all of the check presentation(i had forgotten just how many of them came that year!) and laughed when someone shouted "we love you, groo!!" and he looked embarassed. i wish i'd taped him when ant, cushla and i were getting his autograph at the end of the night and they were trying to kick us out of the auditorium. he was rolling his eyes at them and making comments about whether or not they'd kick him out. also had a pretty big section of the tape focused on DeKnight signing autographs. meh. whatever. ass.

there's a great clip of paksenarrion2 sitting next to a certain someone in the auction/computer room. *suh-nerk*

bdbdb, there wasn't much kanie action on the video because i remembered that was the year we kind of had a falling out. i did zoom in on you guys sitting down in the auditorium a couple of times, but that was the extent on that tape. i'm about to watch the other one and it has the GLR luncheon and the musical sing-a-long on it.

so many memories. *sniff* i think 2003 was my favorite year though. i wish i'd taken the video camera that year, but it was such a pain to keep up with that i just didn't want the hassle. guess i'll just have to rely on my memories and the ones i posted here.

i think i may have the woman who made my mom dvds of video of my cousin put something together with these tapes. i don't want to have to rely on borrowing this thing to watch my videos.
