obsessed with this song. with the way he sings it. with the lyrics. with the guitar. everything is just so...guh. so much love i can't even articulate.

lyrics:

baby it's our hearts' slow beating
that make us grow old
i mean to say there's no one helping
we're digging our own hole

i'm reading your words
they're scrawled on the page
they lay here in silent rage
i'll hold you to this
for as long as i breathe
much more than whispers

if i ever found a one leaf clover
it would be you
wishing that such heights were lower
and nothing is new

citing your verse, it couldn't sound worse
the black recital i did rehearse
we all die alone, and as i'm clenching this phone
can't imagine a slowing hearse

how many times will i play the hero
how many lies before it's true
how many times will we clock out at zero
how many tries before we're through
how many lives till another you

the scars are slowly healing
the lips have regained feeling
the obstacles are kneeling
the final wax is sealing
the great white ships are sailing
the feet have left their railing
the four last hooves are hailing

how many times will i play the hero
how many lies before it's true
how many times will we clock out at zero
how many tries before we're through
how many lives till another you

baby it's our hearts' slow beating
that make us grow old
i mean to say there's no one helping
we're digging our own hole

my favorite part is the part i bolded. seriously, if you've never listened to a David Cook song before now, listen to this one. (camera work is a little shaky at first, but hang in there. it's totally worth it.)
tiggz: (david cook - ♥)

what an incredibly nice and touching thing to do for a fan. *sniff*
tiggz: (david cook - glory note must be tewer)
so...i'm sure you've seen me mention this guy, David Cook(or whatever), a time or two. right? well...as i'm sure most of you already know, on saturday i finally got to see him live and experience his extreme awesomeness in 3D. my dad, who is also pretty heavy in the awesome department, went with me. we got to the venue around 4 pm and there was already a good 100 people in line ahead of us. it was cool though because we were surrounded by great people and had hilarious conversations. doors opened at 6:30 and i spent the next 3 hours or so crammed like a sardine as close to the stage as i could get(about sixth row center).

first up was Ryan Star, who was absolutely phenomenal! he's extremely energetic and animated and it's nigh impossible to get a decent picture of him when he's onstage. i had no idea that he was on Rockstar: Supernova until i got home and looked him up on youtube. if you haven't heard of him before, he's definitely worth a look. word is his new cd will be out on june 2nd! you can find him on myspace, facebook and twitter if you're so inclined. funny story. after the show i bought his cd and gave it to my dad to go get signed while i was waiting to buy some DCook merch. dad gets up to meet him and Ryan asks who to make it out to and my dad says, "it's for my daughter. make it out to her, please." and the lady behind him teases, "suuuuure, it's for your daughter." dad laughs and tells Ryan that he really enjoyed the show, but it really is for me. Ryan then proceeds to sign the cd with "Tiggy, Your Dad ROCKS!". dad brings the cd back to me and i laugh and then we go see if he's still signing and taking pictures. luckily, he is! i finally get to the front and he reaches out to take my cd to sign and i tell him he already has and point to my dad. he laughs and says, "i really did think it was for him". hee!! he's a great guy and i plan on supporting him as much as possible.

i'm not sure what i can really say about seeing David live that hasn't already been said a million times by a million different people. he's amazing and it's hard to tear your eyes off of him because he's just so comfortable doing this thing that he loves. during the set i was mostly reduced to screams and utterances like "guh" "nnnnnnnnnnggggh", which pretty much sums up how i feel about him in general. so instead of trying to put into words how awesome this concert was for me, i thought i'd just post some of my favorite pics and link my videos.

they're under here. )

to sum up: A+++++. would rock again.

being human

tiggz: (television addict)
so who's watching Being Human? and if you're not, why not? i finally got around to watching the second ep and i think it's official that i'm in love. i'm really loving the Mitchell recast from the original pilot from last year. he's bringing a lot more vulnerability to the role, which makes more sense to be honest. i like the new Annie too. i was trying to figure out earlier where i'd seen her and it's, of course, Doctor Who.

don't know what i'm talking about? it's probably because you don't live in the UK. it's only airing on BBC at the moment. maybe BBCA will pick it up if ratings are good.

now i need to go find icons.
tiggz: (dean/sam - who ya gonna call?)
hooray!! welcome back lj. here, have some Jared and Jensen.
tiggz: (dean - adorable)

reason #1,796,535,224 why people should be watching this show. this is possibly one of my favorite sequence of events on the show ever.
tiggz: (saracen - hoodie)
jesus christ, FNL. way to make me cry like a little girl at work. FNL - 3x04 )
tiggz: (mrs. coach - made of awesome)
lately, i've come across a few youtube videos that have made my day. so i thought i'd share. some of you may have already seen one or all of these.

first the funny. )

the wow-worthy. )
tiggz: (david cook - verklempt)
really quick before i head out the door. David Cook fans are the best. seriously. i really can't wait to hear what David's reaction to this is.

tiggz: (tv - my favorite promotion)
i have to be honest. i'm getting entirely too excited about the Twilight movie after seeing all the pictures people are posting from the location shoots. most especially these. R Pattz is definitely looking more like Edward to me and i never had a problem with Kristen Stewart as Bella. (though i will still admit to being worried about the Jacob casting.) bring it on, Summit Entertainment!

i also have to be honest that i'm really digging Lost again this season. maybe it's because the producers finally have an endgame, i'm not sure. i feel like they know where they're going and they're enjoying messing with my head and for the first time since the first season i'm completely okay with it. plus, it's good to see Harold Perrinau again. he won my heart at the first D:LA. bring it on, Bad Robot!

i'm also completely in love with America's Best Dance Crew. if you're not watching, let me give you some reasons to.

can you tell my favorite episode to date is the Michael Jackson tribute night? tonight's episode was great too though. if i could find a video of it and that headspin i would add it right now. this show is different than SYTYCD in that the contestants are coming up with their own routines. there are some SYTYCD ties though. remember Jamal? Shane Sparks is also one of the judges. i ♥ him.

next week is the finale. so if you can catch up via youtube or some other source, i highly recommend it. there's some pretty phenomenal dancers.
tiggz: (kristen - *laugh*)
these guys are my new favorite thing. here's their youtube account with all of their "mission" videos.

my favorites? Frozen Grand Central (obviously!), Redheads Protest Wendy's, Cell Phone Symphony, Look Up More (extended), Virgin Megastore, Best Buy, Jumper and Synchronized Swimming.

i think my favorite part is the reaction to them. soso funny. go watch and laugh.
tiggz: (literate fans support the WGA)
writers R funnee!

SMGP is romantical.

Taylor Quinn Cole, i mean Katie Cassidy is a lying liar who lies.

this post brought to you by Tootsie Rolls. my current downfall.
tiggz: (literate fans support the WGA)
i am a spammy mcspammerson, but i can't help it.

dude. what the hell happened to Drew Goddard??? the facial hair is terrifying. seriously, what happened to the Ultimate Hottness?

p.s. go leave a comment on this moron article that implies the general public thinks the WGA are a bunch of greedy bastards. you should also watch this video if you haven't already seen it.

tiggz: (evil hand)
i noticed one of my favorite Angel eps was going to be on TNT early this morning, so i set the TiFaux to record it. that episode? Dead End. oh, Christian Kane. i'm still sorry you turned out to be such a douche and that i had to personally experience it. however, your portrayal of Lindsey McDonald will remain one of my favorite fictional characters ever(barring quite a bit of season five, that is). so deliciously grey. this episode also marked the beginning of me shipping Cordy and Lindsey. i wonder if there's some good fic of those two out there based on the interaction from this ep...

"stop it, evil hand. stop it." "charlie!!" ahahaha... i miss you, show.

p.s. this icon is probably the oldest icon i have in rotation. it always seems to survive even if i don't use it nearly as much as i used to.
tiggz: (veronica - awww!)

tiggz: (veronica/lilly - memories)
i just watched the first four eps of season one of VM. guys, this show was SO GOOD. it really made me realize how much i missed loving these characters and their relationships with each other. the drama. the comedy. the music. the lighting. the hairstyles. the clothes. THE KISS!! just...everything. i miss it. SO MUCH.

i might end up doing a complete rewatch because i really do need to remind myself why i fell in love with this show.

i also hunted around youtube and my hard drive for fanvids/faux trailers that will always be near and dear to my heart. youtube only really turned up a few faux trailers that [livejournal.com profile] naty_ and [livejournal.com profile] zimshan made. so i thought i'd upload the others to my webspace and share them in case any of you missed them or just wanted to revel in the nostalgia with me.

[livejournal.com profile] naty_'s

[livejournal.com profile] zimshan's

Feeling Good by Astarte (every time this song comes on my ipod, i think of this vid.)

It's A Shame by [livejournal.com profile] whereistheluv

A Better Son/Daughter* by [livejournal.com profile] naty_ (ahh...the vid that brought Rilo Kiley to my musical attention. one of my favorite fanvids ever.)

and finally, the vid that holds the title of my absolute favorite, Colorblind once again by [livejournal.com profile] whereistheluv.

*you'll probably need VLC to watch this one.
tiggz: (dean - chipmunk)

ahahahahaha!!!

blah. blah. blah blah blah blah blah.

seriously, i think this was my favorite episode ever. i just...can't even. i think i hyperventilated while watching at one point. probably during that first scene.
tiggz: (kristen - sweet tunes)
i've pimped The Format endlessly here and i'm pretty sure if you haven't checked them out by now, you probably won't. however, this video has made me smile more than once today and i would be remiss not to share it with all of you. whoever came up with this concept is a genius. i'm pretty sure my favorite part is the Bohemian Rhapsody tribute.

tiggz: (captain jack - captain of the innuendo s)
i'm not even going to bother making any comments about Lost. except to say that they could kill every single character except Kate and Sawyer and i wouldn't bat an eyelash. i could watch those two stare at each other for an hour and it would be good for me.

the real reason i'm posting is to share this vid. it's a scene from Torchwood, but it's not at all spoiler-y. just gunporn at it's best.

he can teach me how to shoot anytime!

accent meme under here )
tiggz: (jim - i *heart* him)
i think not.

tiggz: (jm/pam - OTP!)
has everyone seen this? i saw it when i was watching Heroes and was kind of surprised that no one mentioned it.

*flails*
tiggz: (doctor - dance)
Torchwood promo!!!

free hugs!

tiggz: (wayne and garth - not worthy!!)
you know how i've devoted my undying love to youtube? well...here's my new favorite video of the day/week/month/whatever. this guy has taken something so simple and turned it into a revolution. so awesome.

he also has a myspace profile that explains how this came about in more detail.
tiggz: (kristen - LOL)
because i do. i love it like i love sonic sweet tea, which if you know me, you know that's a lot!

there was a commercial a few years ago on the discovery channel with these two guys dressed up as meteors. anyone remember this commercial? my family and i constantly quote it and i finally found it online. so i present to you. "Hello, Meteor"...

there was also the follow up, "Hello, Mosquito", which has embedding disabled for whatever reason.

i seriously don't know why i love these commercials so much. they're so completely random. nobody ever knows what i'm talking about when i start saying, "ooooooh...the atmosphere" in that deadpan voice and when i try to explain, it never helps.

oh and while i'm discussing commercials, there's also this commercial from Cingular that's airing right now and is possibly my favorite commercial EVER. it cracks me up every time i see it.

tiggz: (doctor - ten - brilliant!!)
this is fabulous!!

tiggz: (kristen - *laugh*)

this is my new favorite youtube video.

you know who is just absolutely beautiful?  claudia black.  i caught the last 30 minutes or so of Die Me Dichotomy this afternoon and it led me to searching youtube for Farscape videos.  not only is she beautiful in this unassuming way, she's also incredibly articulate and smart.  i really wish i owned more than season one of Farscape.  i need to get on that.
