just got home from Serenity. FUCKING HELL WHEDON!!! also? i want to seek out the person who made that cafepress shirt that spoiled me for Wash's death because i spent the whole movie wondering if it was really going to happen. then, of course, it did and i wanted to find that person and show them one of the seven sins.

Wash was my second favorite character. honestly, he probably was my favorite. i just have major love for Inara for some unknown reason. i can't believe Joss killed him. what i can believe is that he had me laughing right before and right after it happened. Joss has an uncanny ability to bring the pain with the laughter. i've never really come across someone who does it better. Minear is good at bringing the death and pain. Rob Thomas is good at giving me angst with laughter, but Joss? Joss can make me laugh and cry simultaneously. it's truly a rare talent.

i've seen disappointment in the movie, but i can't understand it other than having favorite characters killed off. even still i have to think that if you know Joss at all, you should have known it was coming. there are no happy endings.

as for Book, he wasn't given enough screentime. period. so his death didn't hit me as hard as Wash's.

i loved what little Kaylee screentime we were given. especially the, "to hell with this! i'm livin'!!". classic.

i will be very, very surprised if Summer Glau doesn't become a major star after this because she really brought it. every time she was onscreen, i was mesmerized. and that's coming from someone who didn't particularly care for her character in Firefly. i predict big things for her and she deserves them.

Mal. ah Mal. he just rips your heart out, doesn't he? he doesn't always do the noble thing, but he is always looking out for his crew.

Zoe broke my heart when Wash died. soldiering on. that's all she knows. i don't think Gina Torres has ever looked more beautiful.

as you can tell, i really liked the movie. i am angry that Wash and Book were killed, but i would definitely go see it again. looking forward to sequels too. just don't let Minear near it. knowing him, he'll kill Inara and Mal. *sniff*

oh!! i almost forgot. i'm also annoyed that we still haven't gotten a KISS from Mal/Inara. gah!

Gods. I can't make up my mind whether it would have been better to have been spoiled. At least then I could have mentally prepared myself for Wash's death. But then again....the agony of anticipation! As it was, I was still busy being shocked over Serenity getting slammed around and battered and bits knocked off when that harpoon came through the window. My eyes must have been close to popping out of my head. It wasn't until Kaylee asked after him and Zoe said, "He ain't comin'," that it really hit me and I started to cry.

The existence and sheer awesomeness of this movie is proper revenge upon FUX. If some of our beloved cast get catapulted to further stardom because of it....well, I know that I'll be hard-pressed to avoid dancing around outside FUX Network HQ shouting, "NEENER!" as people walk in and out.

OH MY GOD! I saw the movie like 3 months ago and was SO SO SO angry that they killed Wash. JOSS WHEDON AND I ARE IN A FIGHT! In my opinion Jayne is a WAY more expendable character. GRRRR!

I think the decision to kill Book off is because the actor (Ron Glass? ) has cancer and they weren't sure he'd even be able to MAKE another movie. It's really sad *sniffle*

YES! OMG! I was laughing at Wash and then OMG CLUTCHING MY FACE! I have just recently discovered the Evil Love that is Joss, and OMG I kinda expected Book to bite it, but OMG WASH? That was completely typical in a "let's kill Wesley" kind of way!

Mal and Inara? OMG get on with it! lol They need to stop with all the innuendos and get it on! LOL

Kaylee was priceless with her "YOU MEAN SEX?" scene! And, yes, Zoe post-Wash's death was heartwrenching.

5 star movie with 2 stars for pain and anguish!

and, now, my Firefly icons make me wanna cry...
