when don't i ramble about tv?
Oct. 10th, 2005 07:28 pmit's been a long time since i've enjoyed a situational comedy, but i'm totally loving How I Met Your Mother. i don't know how it happened. i wasn't even anticipating liking it. funny how things creep up on you. VM did that to me last season.
the lead actor is just so likeable. he's cute(in a geeky way), funny and completely unassuming. the other characters are great too. neil patrick harris is one of those guys that you love to hate, but in a funny way. aly hannigan is completely adorable. as is jason segel. the girl playing robin has great comedic timing too. it's just a really great cast.
i'm really, really surprised i like this show. the second episode sealed it for me though. "it's a party trifecta!!!" i haven't seen anyone on my flist talking about this show(except people saying they didn't like it). so i wanted to give it its due.
tonight's episode made me think of ita because one of the characters was in a krav maga class.
okay. have no fear. i'll return to VM gushing on wednesday because this week's episode? it finally feels like my SHOW again. i watched the four minute clip on UPN's site. i don't really know how to verbalize it, but something in those four minutes just solidified my love of this show and made me have faith that RT isn't going to let me down.

I love it too!
Been a big Allyson Hannigan fan since BtVS, loved Jason Segal in Freaks and Geeks and beyond, and who doesn't adore Neil Patrick Harris? Mutha-fuckin DOOGIE, for crying out loud!
Good sitcom fun. It's been a while since a new sitcom caught my fancy ...
