summer concerts

decided to surf ticketmaster to see if there are any good upcoming concerts this summer. i haven't been listening to the radio, like, at all since i got the ipod. so i have a feeling i'm missing good concert announcements.

apparently jimmy eat world and green day will be here in august. i'm not a huge green day fan. i like their music, but i'm not fanatical about it. however, jimmy? i've been wanting to see them for years. i may have to go.

also, escapereality? embrace are going to be here on august 3rd. they're playing a small club here in town. i still remember you telling me about all their secret gigs in the UK back in the day. *g*

why are all the concerts i'm interested in going to on weeknights? that's annoying.

ION i think i'll be switching over to cingular. gonna head to the store tomorrow and see what kind of plan/phone they can offer me. their site has the motorola razr phone *covet* for $199 if i sign a two year contract. maybe i can talk them down lower than that...

bored now. think i'll go watch some VM episodes.

Check out Amazon. They have that phone for $99.99 after a 150 activation rebate. The only drawback would be that you have to pay the full price up front and then get the rebate back.

But at the least, you could mention it to the Cingular people. Maybe they will throw you a good deal.

as for embrace....

i have a lot of opinions. your LOVE them. after chris martin wrote a song for them the last album was SOOOOOO coldplay... very ballard mainstream and went into number 1 of the uk charts. im very pleased for them, but the sound is slightly different to all the albums before. i guess if i was them i wouldnt see it as selling out to be honest. but its funny how big they are now. i remember seeing them 300 foot underground in the hellfire caves with about 50 people and 50 bats.;)
