Prime Time Live

dachelle just mentioned the ep of Prime Time Live that aired last night and it reminded me that i wanted to post about one of the segments. it was about the new lockdown policy that public schools have adopted to protect kids from shooters. i think the segment was inspired by the latest school shooting here in tennessee.

these kids knew it was a drill. they still panicked and if it hadn't been a drill, they would have lost their lives.

the whole segment gave me chills and had me in tears because it can happen anywhere. anytime. i think these drills should be performed in every school across the country. because it's obvious after you watch that it taught the kids to listen to their survival instincts. sometimes the best course of action isn't going to be heading to their designated lockdown classroom. it forced them to think and plan.

in other news, i have yet to post my thoughts on VM. i think i'm still trying to gather them. i may watch it for the third time tonight and do a write-up as i watch. for now i will just say that i LOVED it. probably one of the best episodes EVER. here's hoping that after Cliff's performance, we will be seeing many more icons of him in the near future.
