Phil singing Missing You. i actually thought he was trying a little too hard to stick to what John Waite did with the song until the end. the end made it all better for me. i just really, really like him.

Jared singing Let's Get it On. eh. i just wasn't feeling it. maybe it's because i have so much affection for singers like Marvin Gaye and Otis Redding and you just don't compare. i don't know. you just look really uncomfortable up there. especially with the excessive hand gestures.

AJ!!! breaking out with a kick ass arrangement of Muse's Feeling Good. that was H-O-T and this is coming from someone who found him completely forgettable last week.

Sanjaya singing Steppin' Out. *yawn*. way too breathy and didn't showcase your voice AT ALL. i won't miss you next week. you and your too big and fake smile.

Chris Sligh singing Trouble. (fyi, i fucking love Ray Lamontagne and you all should too.) he rushes it a bit(oh god, Paula said the same thing i did. hold me!), but he does it justice. yay chris!

Nick singing Fever. i'd actually be okay if no one ever did this song again. i mean, anyone. Nick's voice? just not that impressive to me. very weak. if you wanna talk karaoke...

Blake singing Virtual Insanity. i'm just gonna throw this out there. i LOVE him. i could listen to and watch him perform all night long. let's just make this the Blake show. (it's rare for me to disagree with Simon, but he is oh so wrong about Blake.)

Brandon singing Time After Time. he has a magnificent voice, but he never really makes the song his(to steal a phrase from the three stooges judges). he also doesn't show us a lot of personality and i really think that comes from being a back-up singer for so long. it's been hammered into him not to draw attention to himself. i don't know... (Simon cracked me the hell up during this portion. "and i like puppies". ahahahaha!!!)

Chris Richardson singing Geek in the Pink. i really think Justin Timberlake needs to employ this guy when he's too tired to do an appearance or a concert. if you close your eyes, he could be JT. i really like his voice, but i really want to hear him do something different. i don't know what i mean by different, but different.

Sundance singing Mustang Sally. really? meh. i'd like to know what happened to the guy that auditioned in memphis because he's just been consistently bad for me every week since. ::comment made after he thanks america for allowing him to be there for another week:: screw you. Rudy should be there, not you. <bitter> that tag doesn't close.

p.s. guys are still kicking the girls asses for me. i don't care about a single girl that's name isn't Gina or Lakisha.

I don't really watch AI, but I've been tuning in if I remember to see Blake, lol. He is just awesome. I also agree on Nick. I turned to it during his performance, and his voice is just so bland and the way he sings makes me feel like he has no range. I was tempted to pull out my Madonna cd to show Jack what that song is supposed to sound like. Or at least what it could sound like, lol.

Blake = awesome. Simon calling his performance copy-catting must be confused on what most of the other singers are doing. I'm sorry, but 75% of the show is copy-catting. It's a singing competition, Simon, remember how you always remind people? It isn't a rework and customize the songs competition. Sheesh. Some people can never be satisfied. :-p
