anyone have any bright ideas on how to get water out of my ear? i've tried the shaking of the ear with my finger thing and i've tried shaking my head. no luck. it's really irritating me.

also have a headache.

but Lost? was fantastic! yet again they answered some questions while bringing up yet more. love that.

also? work was much better today. finally getting the hang of the new system.

You might want to try using a hair dryer on low. Sometimes that helps.

I find that if you get a little rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball and then squeeze the cotton ball over your ear canal, sometimes the alcohol will float the water out.

Do you get swimmers ear often? Because they have ear drops you can get at the drug store that dry your ears out. They are wonderful for that type of thing.

In your ear on low, cause otherwise you're gonna burn yourself.

I have a friends of friends link. Find all kinds of people that way.

Your friends already gave you great advice!

According to a couple of otolaryngologist sites suggest:

The safest way to dry your ears is with a hair dryer. If you do not have a perforated eardrum, rubbing alcohol or a 50:50 mixture of alcohol and vinegar used as eardrops will evaporate excess water and keep your ears dry.

(If you end up with any kind of discharge or hearing remains blocked, you might have to get antibiotics for your ears. But I hope just drying them out works! :-)
