in a sharing mood
Mar. 19th, 2005 11:16 pmi feel like pimping some music. so...if you haven't ever heard of Butterfly Boucher, i highly recommend you dl these songs. she's in the same realm as Tori Amos, Sarah McLachlan and Fiona Apple.
Butterfly Boucher - Drift On
Butterfly Boucher - A Walk Outside
Butterfly Boucher - Another White Dash
in other news, we had our carpets cleaned today. this consisted of me getting everything off of my floor. that was fun...NOT! though it did finally force me to stop procrastinating about boxing some stuff up. mainly the multitudes of tiggers i have lying around. it feels more like a 25 year olds room now. though still not completely grown up.
i *heart* this VM icon.

Date: 2005-03-20 05:54 am (UTC)I can't believe she left this out. Well, I guess I can, since every song on the CD is worth recommending (although "Drift On" is my least favorite).
Butterfly Boucher - Life Is Short
And well, as a bonus, a song about the dreams of trees:
Butterfly Boucher - A Beautiful Book
And...oh fine, I have to give you this too, because it kills me. It's the best slow song on the CD, in my opinion. It smashes "Drift On" like whoa.
Butterfly Boucher - Never Leave Your Heart Alone

Date: 2005-03-20 07:29 pm (UTC)Anyway, I came back to Ann Arbor and discovered OMG Butterfly Boucher was coming to Borders! So I went and saw her, and she was great and so friendly, and I got her to make an autograph for my brother, and she signed my CD, and the CD rocked. I'm not sure what my favorite song is, although "Life Is Short," "Another White Dash," and "A Beautiful Book" are probably the top three. "A Walk Outside" and "Never Leave Your Heart Alone" would round out the top five.
I'm glad you liked the text message. I'd never done that before; it's cool! It saves me a nickel, and it's way easier to type in that box than it would be to type on my phone. And I don't have your number anyway.

Date: 2005-03-21 01:06 am (UTC)Of course my musical taste is obscenely wide ranged lately, but that in no way detracts from the fact :) Thanks for the recommendation

Date: 2005-03-21 02:20 am (UTC)How awesome would a VM party be? I would be helping out like crazy. That would make me more than happy. And, hah!, I've already seen that episode and it is goooood. Really good.
I tried to download the music, but my computer will have none of it.
