thanks to paperdol, i spent a good portion of my evening reading con_dom_wank last night. most specifically it's about Jossverse cons and the kind of crap the promoters/organizers pull. it inspired me to go back to the entries i made in '03 about Fernando and his Vulkon minions.

the best part of all of this? reading through the post at con_dom_wank and finding out that after the Vulkon cruise Fernando will be "let go". hahahaha!! couldn't happen to a nicer guy.

Yeah, that was quite a fun community to read. I've been to some bad conventions but nothing like that.

not sad to see Fernando go. he gives me the creeps.

as for the Cruise...i had a blast. the actors were fun
and very accessable, though i wish the fans would realize
that these people are NOT their bestest friends. *sigh*
some of them hounded the guests and monopolized their time
ad naseum. i wanted to shout, um hello! i paid just like you
did and would love to say a few words to them too. whatever,
at least i didnt fall into the "crazy, delusional, stalker" fan group.
*hahaha*

i was not thrilled with the travel agent that they used as she was
not very good at it. she was clueless on several points.
at least i was informed on my ownn about things as i had researched
cruises/etc before hand.

overall, it was fun and i would consider doing it again.
