hmmm...i think i may be getting squee-y over BSG now. just finished You Can't Go Home Again. i was going to stop at Act of Contrition, but they had to be evil and end it with a "to be continued".

maybe at this rate i'll be caught up before the new ep airs on friday. if i can watch all four seasons of Farscape in less then 30 days, i think i can watch 10 episodes of BSG in 3 days.

i have to say that the music and the cinematography of this show are amazing. absolutely beautiful.

going to bed now. oh and [livejournal.com profile] foxant10 to answer your email, no. not even close. i knew you'd think so though. psychic am i. ;)

Yeah, those two episodes are really good and squee-worthy.

The music and the cinematography do, in fact, kick so much ass.

I watched the entire first season in 11.5 hours. You can catch up by Friday night. DO IT.

you lead a horse to water and you don't expect it to drink? c'mon. besides, i'm done with the whole guessing thing. go straight to the source. well, except in another case which i'll tell you about later. there's a reason why i don't go straight to the source on that one!

BSG rules.
But then I'm one of the rare few who's a fan of both series. Most who like the original cant stand the changes in the new, and new fans usually find the old series too slow. I even heard someone say (think it was on the beta in fact)

"I always got the impression it was more like Adama and co were having an intergalactic tea-party than fighting extinction" (paraphrased).

As for the cinematography they have firefly people working on the show - cant remember who off top of my head, but I remember reading it, so wouldnt be suprised if you noted some of that form. Oh, and I assume you saw Serenity fly-by in the mini-series?

Glad you're enjoying the show and hope you continue to do so.
Hope everything else is good in your world at the mo, as I've not been around much lately and am so not caught up. *hugs*

The effects company who created the hyper-realistic, documentary-style longshots on Firefly (ZOIC) also do the effects on Battlestar Galactica. They're quite brilliant.
