those who have seen the newest Doctor Who, tell me. where have i heard the score for the scene when the Doctor and Rose are reunited? i know i've heard it before, but i can't place it and it's driving me crazy!

It's an orchestral rework of the music from the end of "Dalek", after the Dalek has opened its casing.

did you hear Firefly music in The Impossible Planet? i didn't, but other people claim it's there.

That specific motif may have reappeared elsewhere, but I went back and rewatched the sequence to make sure. It was also in The Impossible Planet, at Scootie's death.

Firefly-esque, in a few places, such as the sequence where the Doctor and Ida explore the area around the Pit - lots of solitary violin stuff.

It's not from "Parting of the Ways," when the Doctor kisses Rose to extract the time vortex energy from her? I noticed a lot of score reprisals for the Doctor and Rose that came from that eppy.
