god, i was on pins and needles the entire night. even though i had accepted dialidol's results for the better part of the day, i was still fucking nervous!!

DCook's segment was made of so much win, i can't even. the absolute joy of seeing his hometown's support and when he got choked up onstage at his old high school? guh. he so deserves this and i hope he gets it.

and as i told expatiates earlier, this was the first time i've ever seen real emotion out of Archie and it was really nice to see. refreshing to see that there is a real boy underneath all the Pinocchio strings his daddy is pulling.

i'm so damn excited for next week and i will be voting my ass off for my boy. i refuse to see him in second place.

in other news, i'm really kind of pissed about comments made about Cookie at a posting board i go to and i'm taking a step back before i say something that i'll regret. *takes a deep breath* i think i'll go back to looking at adorable pictures of his hometown visit to calm myself down.

I was so happy for him tonight. No matter what happens next week, he's got a great career ahead of him now.

it's extremely nasty and uncalled for and i'm sick of it. it was a nice two weeks without her bitchy comments... (i wanted to point out to her that he has never used his brother's illness as a platform to get sympathy votes and any time Ryan even attempts to get him to talk about it, he shuts him down. but it's not even worth arguing with her because she's completely biased and not at all willing to admit that the boy is going to win because he's GOOD.

i think he'll have a great career too(but i also thought that about Blake last season and look where that's gotten him *sniff*).

To me, it's a completely different thing to say, "David Cook annoys me because I don't like that style, and that's why I don't want him to win," than to come in every week and call him a poser and a fool and completely untalented. Honey, none of these kids are UNtalented at this point.

God, I just ... I want to strangle her. It was so much fun to discuss it in there until she took over. Even without the vitriol, the epic posts and her "reviews" are so completely egotistical, I want to scream.

Y'know, I live in Kansas City. Last week, I noticed that a bunch of the teachers were wearing t-shirts that had "VOTE FOR DAVID COOK" scrawled across the back.

At first I thought it was some sort of school board thing.

They just had the American Idol logo on the fronts. It definitely made a lot more sense than thinking, gee, this guy must REALLY be a teachers' favorite for the school board!
