i just watched 18 episodes of Gossip Girl in a day and a half. i watched the Pilot way back when and wasn't all that impressed and then that night was full of tv. so i never watched more than a scene here or there. (*ahem*ChuckandBlairinthelimo*ahem*)

it's totally a guilty pleasure and i should be kicking myself for getting into it since the tv situation won't be any better this season. i guess it's just going to be one of those shows i have to dl.

unsurprisingly, i love Chuck. i'm sorry, but snarky assholes are appealing! Dan's okay, but he's not someone i would look at or think twice about. in fandom or real life. Serena bugs the crap out of me, which may be an unpopular fandom opinion. i have no idea. i think it's probably the actress and not so much the character though. the way she talks to Dan kind of makes my ears bleed. Blair's totally the best female on the show. Leighton Meester is probably the most talented of the bunch as well.

unpopular fandom opinion #2, i'd much rather see Lilly and Rufus together over Dan and Serena.

Hey, that sounds pretty much like my experience watching the show. And yes, I think it's not exactly the mainstream opinion that Serena - and the actress who plays her - sucks. But I couldn't help it, she just bugged me to no end.

I kept hoping that she and Nate would rekindle their thing, since in addition to them mostly sucking as actors, they bored me to death and at least that way I could go make a snack or something during their scenes.

Agreed again! Lilly and Rufus are my favourite 'ship on the show after Chuck and Blaire.

I agree all around. Chuck, what an adorable asshole. Blair is THE best girl ever. Dan + Serena = zero chemistry. Rufus and Lily are so cute.

I will admit, I like Serena, but I'm with you on all other counts! :D

But yeah.. Dan and Serena? mehhh.. I don't hate them together by any means, but .. I just don't really think about it at all, really. Dan's a bit dull at best, bordering on kind of an asshole towards the end there (and not in that tasty Chuck way..). Rufus & Lily is definitely the winning pair there. (As long as they don't steal precious Chuck/Blair time.. :D)

These opinions are not unpopular to me. I can't stand Serena or Dan/Serena. They're both really boring separately and when together it's an even bigger snoozefest.

I basically don't like anyone on this show except Chuck, Blair, and Rufus. And I have a thing for Carter Baizen for some reason. I hope that asshole comes back lol. I sometimes like Nate but only when he's around his boyfriend Chuck. :D
