Dec. 12th, 2003 10:09 aminvite codes are now gone. let's all cross our fingers that there isn't a bum rush of sign-ups that cause the site to crash. i do remember when we didn't need invite codes to sign up(i didn't need one), but that was before livejournal was as popular as it is today.
when they make huge changes like this to lj, it makes me want to back up all of my entries. anyone know of a good way to do that? i just don't want to lose all the history i have going on here.

Date: 2003-12-12 07:07 am (UTC)This means that more and more "curious" people could add us to friends lists and stuff. :-(
Also, what did they do about giving us paid time for our unused codes? I don't know if I'm going to like this.

Date: 2003-12-12 07:10 am (UTC)as for "curious" people adding you to their friends list, well that's why i like my basic "friends only" journal.
they haven't made a decision about the invite codes yet. i have about 10 though. :)
