so i'm rewatching Ruskie Business for about the billionth time and this time, i'm really paying attention to the drawings in the credits.

so the drawing for Teddy Dunn is a security camera. why is this significant? because we see in the trailer that the room Veronica was raped in has video cameras. now i'm frightened about what the other drawings could mean...

Have you noticed what Wallace's drawing is?

It's the dead-body outline.

I figure that means either Wallace is going to get killed, and that'll figure into next year's arc, cause if you notice? All the other drawings specifically relate to the characters and their predicaments throughout the year.

Veronica--man/woman in hotel window = Lianne/Jake at the Camelot in the Pilot

Keith--handcuffs = ex-cop, and handcuffs are a tool of the trade.

Logan--notebook drawings of Lilly's name = we keep finding out that it was Lilly's death that made Logan into a jackass, and he just might be sentimental enough to doodle like that, but at the least, it shows a softer side to Logan Echolls.

Weevil--hands holding a cigarette behind bars = How many times has Weevil ended up in jail? And we know he smokes, cause we've seen him with the cigarette behind his ear in several episodes.

Wallace and Duncan's are the only two we don't have solid allusions/references to, and considering that they've done it for everyone else? Yeah, that makes me very, very scared.

i have seen that theory tossed about and that's why i'm scared. i'm fairly certain that RT wouldn't go the "best friend killed" route again, but it still frightens me.

The spec that me and my friend came up with is, what if Wallace is killed in process of helping Veronica in the finale? Especially now that he's come to Wiedman's attention in last week's ep? Because it'd be a perfect twist for Wallace to take the metaphorical bullet meant for Veronica, and that would just add fuel to the fire of her building up those walls and pushing Logan (and Meg, and Mac, and Duncan, etc) away, because she couldn't expose someone *else* she loved to the dangerousness of being around her.

Yep, I have looked at the credit drawings before too because I am used to speculating on credits from past shows, and these are very specific details for each character. I worry for Wallace. Eep.

It would also explain the somewhat quick setup of Keith and Wallace's mom's romance. It would totally kill that if something were to happen to Wallace and it would really hurt Keith/Veronica's relationship too if he feels it is on part Veronica's fault that Wallace gets hurt/killed (due to her involving him in surveilling Wiedman).

Well... that was kind of simmering there ever since Keith kicked Psycho Tenant out of Mrs. Fennell's house, but yeah, I agree it was hella quick.

It would totally kill that if something were to happen to Wallace and it would really hurt Keith/Veronica's relationship too if he feels it is on part Veronica's fault that Wallace gets hurt/killed (due to her involving him in surveilling Wiedman).

More spec here, but that could also be involved with Lianne coming back, because that's what Veronica's been wanting all along, her Mom and her Dad back together, and since Keith's had the legal notice in the paper, that'd mean he's about to consider legal action (possibly pending on the results of the DNA test?) and Veronica might try and hurry Lianne out of Detox??? That'd be a double/triple whammy for Keith and Veronica--the paternity test, the Wallace situation, *and* Lianne.

I agree, but most people think it was out of the blue. I however saw the connection to that cup of coffee at the end of that episode. :)

As for the ad, I just thought it was so he could have an official divorce, but maybe he is preparing for a preemptive strike for custody if the results come back that he is not Veronica's dad? Or filing to prove Lianne is an unfit parent? (Unspoiled spec myself.)

I've been trying to avoid spoilers for the last two eps myself. *grin* My personal spec is that Keith *had* meant to file for *just* a divorce, but pending the outcome of the DNA test, I think he'd be moving for custody. Cause, the way Keith was hung up on the bounty for Duncan, I think he knows Veronica cleaned out her account to either find Lianne or dry her out. I waffle on how much he knows, but Keith is smarter than Veronica ever gives him credit for. I think he knows she's close to resurfacing, and is moving to protect Veronica and himself as much as he can.
