quick post before i head back to work...

went to see ep III last night. *yawn* visually? it was beautiful. however, george lucas should never be allowed to write his own dialogue EVER again. god, it was cringe-worthy. do you think we could get the SAG to impose a ban?

it was definitely a waste of my $8.25(not including the $7.25 i spent on a bottle of water and some M&Ms). this is why i don't go see movies in the theatre anymore...

[ETA: i'm way behind on comments and i plan on replying. will try to do so later tonight.]

THANK you! I agree! He is horrible at dialogue. I was actually laughing in the scene in which Vader turned evil. Dreadful. And then I came out the cinema and all my friends were like 'Oh my god. Masterpiece!' and proceeded to gush for the next hour, while I looked on all 'Seriously?'

gah!

see? I know I am not crazy in thinking that Lucas lost his touch YEARS ago!

I was forced into watching Episode 1 right before Episode 2 came out. Hated it. No, more like, wanted to poke my eyes out, throw-up and cry. So, never saw 2 and no desire to give my money to that nasty ol man, so no 3 for me either.

Sorry you wasted your money. Coulda had a nice dinner for that much. Damn. Or a pair of sale shoes. Damn.

lol

*hugs* and if you can, Lost-Radio tomorrow, 5-7pm est! WOOT!

well, [livejournal.com profile] electricland is sponsoring a Rewrite of the Sith Ficathon to rewrite parts of the story/scenes so they don't suck. ;D

Was it really that bad?

OoO. I find this information interesting. So much so, I might just have to see it. I've never ever watched a single minute of Star Wars, but I might just hunt them down if it gives me a chance to debate all of the crazy "George Lucas is God" people that I know. And maybe interject some little comments on what is good dialogue. Hehe. I know. I'm pathetic.

you don't know me, but i have a suggestion if you choose to do this. See the first three so you can get the full effect of how badly the other ones are lacking. On their own, they're pretty much on par with the rest of today's poorly made movies. However, compared to the classics they're supposed to precede, they're complete and utter crap. Like, worse that all the horrible horror movie remakes they've done ever all put together.

Personally, I liked the third, but I do agree about the dialogue. and the acting. of Anakin as Darth in particular. That boy's a pussy, he can't act evil for the life of him.

I agree! Beautiful visually...the dialogue bit the big weenie...And you can't fault the actors...they did what they could given the dialogue. And Anakin's transition to the dark side?? That needed WAY more time to develop.
