Date: 2005-06-03 07:15 pm (UTC)So when voting for my favorite, aka, episodes that I want to watch all the time, that I constantly rewatch because I love them so. It has no bearing on whether it was a well-done episode. (They were all well done but some were definitely better, smarter, tighter than others).
- "Clash of the Tritons"
- "Return of the Kane"
- "Hot Dogs"
- "Mars vs. Mars"
If I were choosing what I thought were the 'Best' episodes of the season, that would be alittle different. Some overlap, some don't. The best way I can describe the difference in my mind is this example: I consider Joss Whedon's 'The Body' to be the 'Best' Buffy episode, yet nowhere does it appear on my 'favorites' list. It's not that I hate it. It's because it is a very hard episode to watch. It's not an episode I pop in my VCR all the time to watch. It takes alot out of you emotionally and I always have to prepare myself for it when I do watch it.
Therefore, what do I consider the 'Best' VM episodes of the season?
- "A Trip to the Dentist"
- "Leave It to Beaver"
- "Clash of the Tritons"
- "Pilot"
But I voted out of my favorites list. :)

Date: 2005-06-05 01:29 am (UTC)As far as why, Clash of the Tritons is my absolute favorite; firstly because it was the first one that pushed me from "I like this show" to "OMG I'M OBSESSED!", but also because it's simply extremely well-put-together. Every scene just fits perfectly, and the main plot and subplot balance each other. And it has the karoake scene. Ruskie Business because of the hotel scene, 'cause, AWWWWW. Also, because in the MOTW, Veronica was so very, very wrong. I don't know why I like it when she's wrong, but I do. Weapons of Class Destruction because OMG!SHIPPERSQUEEE! And it's also good outside of that. *g* A Trip to the Dentist because of the structure, and the multiple viewpoints/memories thing. I *love* that. I love when flashbacks aren't necessarily true. Okay, stopping now.
