i'm not a comic book lover in the least. in fact, when certain people go on and on about them i tend to roll my eyes and tune them out. that being said, i know pretty much nothing about the Batman lore. so i can't comment on what they did or didn't get right about it.
this movie? is the best comic book based movie i have ever seen. it never once incorporated the hokey vibe that most comic movies like to employ. it was dark, yet had comedy interspersed throughout. it was actually a really perfect blend of the two. color me impressed.
bruce was an excellent mixture of serious, snarky, funny and sweet. christian bale has totally become my favorite batman. it doesn't hurt that he's easy on the eyes. ;) i adored michael caine's alfred and morgan freeman's fox. they had some of the best lines. also gary oldman's "i've gotta get me one of those." because i was totally thinking the same thing. that car is awesome!
there were so many big names in this movie. i'm thoroughly impressed that no one stole the show.
the one thing i could have lived without? the zombie-like movements/reactions after the poisonous gases were released. zombies and i don't mix. really.
thanks to everyone for their input in my poll. my dad and i couldn't make up our minds because we wanted to see both. maybe Mr. and Mrs. Smith will be next week. oh and i was very disappointed that i didn't get a Serenity preview.

Heck, I know we'll be in Disney, but they have a HUGE AMC 30 at Downtown Disney. Maybe we can see a flick one night if we're not ready to sleep and the parks are closed. :)
