Duran Duran? fucking amazing. i danced my butt off. i don't think i've ever sweat as much as i did tonight. i totally wouldn't be surprised if i lost ten pounds.

simon, john, nick, andy and roger. you rock my world. not to mention anna and andy. the back-up singer and saxophone player respectively.

they played pretty much every song i wanted to hear except The Reflex. well...they didn't play anything from Big Thing, but that cd isn't a fan favorite for some reason. so i'm not surprised. they actually played more new songs than they seem to at all the other cities. which is fine because i like the new cd, but most of the crowd seemed to be there to hear the old stuff since they were all back together. people kept sitting down for the new stuff. made me sad for the guys.

i took some pics(and one video), but i don't think they turned out very well. we weren't that close and my camera doesn't handle dark and very far away well. i did do a self picture of me and my sisters before and after the concert. after we'd sweat every ounce of make-up we had put on. swear to god. hottest i've ever been. EVER. my clothes were soaked. i wanted to strip naked and walk back to my car.

one of the best concerts i've been to. the boys have definitely still got it. mmm...simon. mmm...john.

OH!! i almost forgot. they were promoting upcoming shows on the giant screens and i saw coldplay. who's openng for them? RILO KILEY!! awesome. i love summer concerts.

i'm half tempted to see Coldplay just to see Rilo Kiley, but I don't even really know who the hell Coldplay is so i'm not wasting a large sum of money to go to some huge venue just to see Rilo Kiley.

I'm hoping they come back really soon and play a smaller club.

You are so lucky!

They played in Israel last week but I realized it too late and couldn't get tickets. A friend of mine who was there said they were excellent.

glad you had a good time!

Heh. I used to do something, with my long-ago sweetie, that Yasmine le Bon (Simon's wife) does just before he goes out on stage: she snakes a hand between his thighs, smiles sweetly, squeezes, and says "Mine."

Just so he knows.

Mine was a piano player, so he got to sit at least. But poor Simon...

Ah, John Taylor. Man that guy always had the best hair. I had John Taylor hair once upon a time. And now you've got me thinking about Duran Duran, so I've put them next on the list of records to digitize....

I saw Duran Duran in '93 when they came out with "Ordinary World." I hate hate hated them when I was a kid. My sister had all their posters and played their stuff all the time. I think maybe I was brainwashed. Anyway I saw them at the Jones Beach Amphitheater which is off the water. Not a bad seat anywhere. Terrence Trent Darby opened. They know what their audience wants and played all the favorites. They even performed a killer cover of "White Lines."

Was thinking about Duran Duran earlier while I was up the Eiffel Tower. Was just expecting them all to be up there too - the View To A Kill video was a bit daft, but then again most Bond videos tend to be.
