you remind me...

remember that thing where i was going to upload a song that reminded me of someone? yeah. time for that again. all of this extensive coverage about Peter Jennings with footage from September 11th makes me think of this song and subsequently
foxant10. why? because that's when we really became close. this will be rehash for those of you that have been here for the full extent. before then we would casually talk to each other at the bronze/beta/camp. i remember posting about how upset i was and he took the time to private message me and ask how i was later that day (i wish i had thought to save all of those PMs we shared, ant.). that blew me away because he was someone that was way more affected by this than i was. having been at the WTC that day.
the friendship blossomed into a full blown relationship and soon he was planning a trip to come and see me. now, as most of you know, the relationship didn't last. however, he is definitely someone that i consider a best friend. he made/continues to make an enormous impact on my life and i'm truly glad that we've been able to work through our issues and be friends again. i don't like losing friends. especially friends i've shared so much with.
with all of that said, i give you this song. Live - Overcome. this song will forever be linked to September 11th for me and subsequently anthony because of all of what transpired surrounding the months after that day. it's amazing to me that beautiful things can come out of something so terrible.

Amazing, but one of the great things about life.

Date: 2005-08-11 01:24 pm (UTC)9-11 was an insane day for me...if you look at the 3 attacked areas and then look smack dab in the middle? Williamsport, PA. Yeah. So, kinda scary when it's right on top of you. It makes you think.
*hugs* and glad you had friends like that to help you through it. I think the only way anyone got through that whole thing was with LOVE.
