today i went shopping to find some shorts for when i go to disney. i don't really own any because i just never wear them. i don't know why. i just prefer pants. annnnnnnnyway...i had no luck. i went to old navy, american eagle, aeropostale, pac sun, gap, abercrombie and fitch. you name it, i went there. the stores that did have shorts either had the what i like to call "hoochie shorts" or those god-awful "bermuda shorts". both look absolutely hideous on me. (though it was heartening to find the sizes are somewhat returning to normal. though still not quite there.)

what i did find was a hilarious shirt at A&F. it is here. i was so tempted to buy it, but paying $30 for a t-shirt is extreme. even if it is hilarious. i'm kind of surprised that corporate america actually got in on mocking tom cruise. goes to show just how crazy he has become.

tomorrow i think i'll hit target and kohl's. somebody has to still have shorts in stock that aren't hideous. right?

Those Hoochie Shorts are not meant for grown women! & Bermuda shots are meant for old women (sad to say, I do own a pair).
You can buy iron on transfer paper for your printer, you know. You could make buy a plain white T-shirt, & print out the 'Run Katie, Run' part. Just a thought.

I can't get over those hoochie shorts. I don't even care how short they are on the legs (well, I would for me, but I'm not offended by people who have the legs for it wearing short shorts). I mean, after all, people wear bathing suits in front of others. But...but...but...butt. How can they come up over anyone's butt?

I was going to suggest Kohl's. They seem to always sell some moderate clothing that isn't old lady-wear, but isn't hoochie-wear. I didn't buy shorts this season though, because the ones I had from last year still fit, so I can't guarantee that. Looks like they might have some possible contenders: http://www.kohls.com/main/subcategory.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=214213411&bmUID=1124024826279

HA! I was just at Abercromie the other day and laughed my ass off at their T-shirts. But, yes, $30 is way too much to spend even to mock Tommy C. I hear ya on the shorts thing. I didn't buy any shorts this year because I couldn't find a length I liked. Old Navy used to be good because they printed the length of the inseam on the sticker w/ the size. I liked the 5" shorts, but not it seems shorts are only ofered in two sizes "Hootchie" or "Grandma." :(

I'm NOT picturing you in the 'hootchie shorts'. I'm just about to take cold shower because it's 90 degrees here.
