wow. did someone piss in the VM fandom's wheaties this morning? everyone's so uptight about their opinions today. say it with me, people. "everyone has a right to express their opinion whether it be negative or positive. as long as they're respectful towards others." people who aren't? mostly deserved to be ignored because, as we would say in the bronze world, they are bezoars. also known as trolls. just looking for any kind of attention they can get. there's also bandwagon jumpers who see what the consensus seems to be saying and just rolls with it.

for the record, i was "meh" on Duncan. there was a lot of potential there, but it was never tapped. that being said, i loved Donut Run. so there you go.

A lot of it is over at TWOP, others I've seen in my flist. I've been noticing it for a while though, even before this episode. I am one of those people who watch and try not to nitpick it too much. I did the same with Buffy and it led to much more enjoyment.

Well, that's the nature of TWOP. I kind of expect it going in - the episode threads, at least.

This may be my sanity talking, but I don't think that DR was so good or so bad to cause an outright meltdown of fandom.

I think it had a lot to do with Austin. I don't tend to go out of the MM for shows except for my soaps so I'm not really getting into it on the other forums.

You were mellow back in the bronze unless people were being crappy about people. Or butt monkey crazy. I mean, you might have had a strong opinion, but you were never contentious about the shows.

AMEN to that. We are always throwing around our opinions. I don't understand why all of a sudden things are different. Fandom today is just being...frustrating.

LOL ... yeah. The trolls seem to be coming out of the woodwork recently. Although, I have to admit that I almost feel *special*, as I was trolled for something completely unrelated to DR or Duncan.

Completely wasn't a fan of Duncan but that was probably the way his storyline was written. In Season 2 Duncan was the filler storyline, not every character was available this year full time and he filled some episode time while everyone else's contracts caught up. But in the end VM is a good show, I enjoy sites like TWoP because of the funny but I can't jump on the negativity bandwagon there mainly because i love this fandom too much, equally and maybe more so that Buffy.

Besides, Veronica Mars is a marshmallow. And for the record I love marshmallows.
