i'm predicting it now. Katherine McPhee will either win AI or she will at the very least be in the top performers left standing at the end.

i really, really enjoy Paris and Lisa. Ayla was pretty great tonight, which was surprising considering her emotionless performances thus far. also have to give major kudos to the hometown girl, Mandisa. she was phenomenal.

i think Kinnik has a lot of potential, but her song choice left much to be desired.

i really don't like Kelly, Becky, Stevie, or Brenna. their voices just don't work for me.

on a superficial note, Ace is very pretty. less superficially, i adore Simon. i think he and i would get along really well.

i'm actually watching some reality tv this season. i think i've been worn down. it was only a matter of time before i started watching this show though. singing is totally my thing.

I want Mandisa to win, but I am in love with Katharine McPhee. I'm also with you on Paris and Lisa, though Paris' stage quirks kind of bug me and Lisa needs to loosen up a little.

I missed the first half.

I think Lisa has a kick-ass voice, but I'd like to see her sing something outside her comfort zone. I'll be happy when they're assigning her songs rather than letting her choose them.

Katherine does seem to be the darling. Aside from the fact that I hated the song she chose, she was very strong vocally. Apart from her and Lisa (keep in mind, I missed half the show), no one else really jumped out at me. I liked those two, but, again, the songs themselves didn't impress me, just the vocals. I'm waiting for the 'wow.' Opera-chick (I'm only good with the names of people I like) might be half- decent if she would LET GO OF THE OPERA. It's a pop show, for crying out loud! If you want to be the female Josh Grobin, go audition for Andrew Lloyd Weber!

I also liked Paris and Lisa. Katherine was great, but like you said, everyone thinks she's great. I love Mandisa. Ayla was good. Agree with all of your assessments.

I hate Brenna. She's a total bitch. Did you see her face when Kinnik was singing? I want her to DIE.

You pretty much just picked my top five. I do like Kellie, though...this performance wasn't good for her, but I think she's got potential, if she can overcome the nerves. But I've got to admit, it's more her I like than her voice.

Can't wait for the boys! I'm waiting to post my recap until I can add the boys in.
