new icon in honor of the one year anniversary that's coming upon us. there isn't a day that goes by that i don't think about that day and what it cost others and gave to me. god bless the families, firefighters, police officers, port authority and everyday heroes from that day. may we always be united for freedom and justice for all. let us never forget what this day meant.

edited to add these pictures taken from the awaiting platform of the southbound side of the #1/#9 NYC transit elevated train (el) at 207th st. it's a mural painted by the Mural Kings. simply beautiful...

Awww yeah it was hard. Hard to see all that happening to your friends and family and your country back home and being able to do next to nothing cuz you were so far away. Very hard.

I need to see that mural for myself.
