yeeeeuuuuuuuugh!! i just had to kill a freaking wolf spider in my room. i hate when i'm alone with these things and i have to take care of them myself. usually i yell for mom or dad to take care of these things, but they're already in bed. i tried to get bandit to get it, but he failed me.

i even tried to just trap him in a cup in an attempt to spare his life, but he moved too quickly to trap him and was headed for my closet where there are way too many places to hide. so i just grabbed the nearest shoe and started beating him to death. *shudder*

in case you hadn't guessed, i'm terrified of spiders and only touch them under extreme measures. i wasn't about to go to sleep with that thing roaming free in my room. the only other creature that causes this sort of reaction out of me? cave crickets or as i like to call them "alien crickets" because they remind me of the aliens in the movie...Aliens.

going to bed now. here's hoping i don't have nightmares of spiders and crickets attacking me.

poor sweet tiggy.

my family calls me spider girl because i tend to perform spider rescue operations. particularly for my niece. she is so terrified of them she cannot even say the word spider. she calls them ickies. last time i went back east for a visit i had to tear her room apart, literally removing dresser drawers to pry a spider out of the dresser after it was spotted and then hid. she is so phobic that the school councelor has suggested therapy.

if we ever end up in the same place again i promise to keep you spider safe while treating them humanely.

holy crap. I hate spiders, and usually just the mention of them makes my skin crawl (where I live we get spiders that frequently exceed a 1 inch diameter, not including the legs) but your icon made it so much better. I love the Lion King.

Ick, ugh, we have those too. Thankfully, the population went down a lot when I had those green bushes yanked out from the front of the house. That was the first thing I did after I bought the place, lol.

The other evening, a HUGE spider was spinning a web out by my front window. It wasn't a wolf spider because it wasn't furry enough and it's body was way-bulbous, but it was weird to see it while still very light out, and it was spinning an invisible web because it just kept going up, down, back, forth, repeat.

My neighbor's husband came over because I wanted the boys to see, and he offered to get it down. I was indifferent, I mean, it's OUTSIDE, that's a bonus, but he tried to anyway, and it ended up falling on him and then he couldn't find it! Ack.

LOL

when it comes to spiders, I have a total fear and loathing...and unless they can be scooted out a door or someone else can save them - KAIDY GO SMASH! lol I can't help it - I have had 2 icky spider experiences and will never get over them.

*hugs* and hope there are NO MORE!
