i want to thank roniabirk for her generosity meme. you are an amazing person to offer to do this for others. some you don't even know. you're one of a kind, my friend. i also want to thank the anonymous person who put my name in for said meme. both of you have made my day. now i just have to figure out what to spend my gift certificate on! :) (anonymous person, feel free to tell me who you are!)

i had to order an adapter for my atari so i can use it with my "modern" television. so i've yet to be able to play it. :( here's hoping it's waiting on me when i get home this afternoon.

well...better get back to work. only two more hours and it's technically wednesday. can't beat that, can you?

Atari?!?! Did you say Atari? 2600? Ah yes...I need to break mine out as well someday. I had amassed quite a few games back then and managed to get even more from a flea market sometime in the last 10 years. In this day and age of people fighting in line to get a Playstation 3 or a Wii and then turning around to sell it on EBay for $4000, it's great to go back to old school!

Oh and by the way, after last night's Torchwood, I'm kind of on board with the original first impressions of Owen discussed here.

i did! i bought one off of ebay last week. got to play it tonight. it's fun for the whole family!! i just need to get all the games i once loved.

i bought my mom a 7800 so we'd have both systems to play with. the bug to play atari just randomly hit me and i had to do something about it.

i'm just not sure what to think about the way the writers are portraying Owen. they really seem to be clueless about what kind of guy they want him to be...

I think it's interesting that Owen is so inconsistent. One minute he's a total psycho/sicko/bastard and the next he's earning his keep very well. Whether that's on purpose or not on the part of the writers, I don't know.

Hey there sweetie, I never did see that you got your gift certificate, I guess thats what happens when you only get to skim over posts. I will admit to being anonymous, I forgot to tell her that I didn't have to be. I just wanted you to smile, you had a really bad year and you deserved some happiness the same way that you gave me happiness a couple of years ago when I needed it on Christmas. I'm glad you got something that you wanted. :)
