just finished new Who. hoooooooooooooooly shit!

i don't really have any in depth thoughts. mostly it goes like this:

Captain Jack!!!!!!!!!!!!! RUN!!!!!!!!!

the Doctor's kind of scared. this makes me scared.

Rose mentions all over the place! flashback of The Parting of the Ways!! *sniff* Jack visited Rose when she was younger!! awwwwww!!!

the Doctor and Jack together again makes me all kinds of happy. i think i'd be okay with no more Torchwood ever again if it meant seeing these two together on my tv computer every week.

JOHN SIMM!!!!!! it's going to be so interesting to see him play an evil bastard. as opposed to an armed bastard. ;)

that's all i got. in conclusion, !!!!!!

It is great to see Jack and the Doctor working together again.

Having Sir Derek Jacobi in Doctor Who was great and having him turn out to be the Master was amazing. I didn't expect that to happen and to have John Simm turn up an episode early was a total surprise.

Also looking at Martha she's getting angrier and angrier. I think she's going to do something soon...

Incoherent amounts of love for this episode, and I know so much of it has to do with getting Jack back with the Doctor, and it's not even THE Doctor, but still! (Proves Captain Jack really can hit on/have chemistry with anyone/thing/species).

LOVEloveLOVE the Rose references and the flashback. I loved their conversation while Jack was in the radiation room. Was it just me, or do they use better cameras/lighting/film on Dr. Who because John/Jack even LOOKED yummier than he did on Torchwood. Maybe he just has better people to play off of; or maybe it's the angst level.

I was not totally happy with their explanation that the Doctor knew Jack had come back to life and still left him on purpose until they explain a bit more of him being a fixed point, a fact, in the universe. That makes a little more sense, but I still say Nine might've tried to get him back to make things easier on Rose. He probably didn't have time.

I am not familiar with the actor who is playing the Master. Fill me in? So far, I like him. =)

John Simm played Sam Tyler in Life on Mars, which I just posted about. Watch it!

OMFG AND FLAIL to this episode. I still can't think coherently, but I know I LOVED IT. OMFG AND FLAIL.

And I literally screamed when I saw JOHN BARROWMAN on the opening credits!

I was frickin' floored!!!! This reminded me of the chills I had at the end of Bad Wolf way back when! To tie in the whole human camoulflage from Human Nature and use it as the way the Master survived-genius! I saw too many rumours about John Simm as the Master, but never saw the whole Jacobi regenerates into Simm thing coming.

Jack was more fun in this episode than he was in the entire run of Torchwood.

I can't wait to see John Simm portray a totally different character. From the previews, it looks like he's having fun with it. Just hope he doesn't go too over-the-top. Then again, this is Doctor Who.

I fucking LOVE how fucking arc-y this show is. I never would have expected it, but they're tying this whole series together, new AND old, now. I need to read up on the Master, eh?
