i feel so sorry for west coasters. it really is impossible to stay unspoiled for things like American Idol finales, isn't it? well...

HE DID IT!!!! WE DID IT!!!!!!!!!!!! 12 million votes, people!! that's phenomenal. so much is killing me right now. it's hard to pinpoint everything.

- his little snicker/laugh when responding to the guru's "mariska hargitay"
- GUITAR HERO COMMERCIAL!!!!!!
- having the time of his life playing with ZZ Topp
- Blake Lewis having "COOK" written on his freaking hand and showing the camera!!
- FATHER FIGURE!!!
- Simon Cowell apologizing even though i think it was totally a calculated effort on his part to get us Cook fangirls riled and voting
- blaming his win on Andrew
- CONFETTI!!!!!!!!
- Andrew killing me dead saying "that's my brother" into the camera
- Cookie weeping and making me cry right along with him

Omg, it was so incredible. I can't believe my first choice actually won!

And yeah, I would've been spoiled a couple thousand times over if I hadn't had my east coast friend give me a play-by-play. I probably accidentally spoiled a person or two myself.

I purposely went to TWOP to spoil myself since 1) I couldn't bear not knowing and B) the season finale of Criminal Minds was on from 9-10 and I couldn't bear to miss that live so I taped AI and F)didn't want to wait another 1 1/2 hours after ten to know.

I actually squealed out loud during the Guitar Hero commerical. And when Ryan announced his name at the end, I shouted and clapped so loud, I woke Sara up. (Oops.)

I just loved how *comfortable* he looked up there all night, like he was born to be on stage. And with ZZ Top! He was having a blast!

Of course, when he broke down, I melted into a sloppy puddle. So happy for him. And for us! America go it right!

that performance with ZZ Top was so much fun. when he did his little dance i almost died. so adorable.

i was pretty much a puddle all night. i was glad he just had an opportunity to have fun and not worry about trying to get votes. yay america!!!
