it really was not very good. the only parts i really enjoyed were what i'd already read before i physically got my hands on the book. specifically, when Jacob shows up at the wedding and the part where the book is written from his perspective.

i hate how SMeyer made Bella "forget" how she feels/felt about Jacob. especially after she was turned. the scenes with her threatening him weren't funny. they were a slap in the face to everything Bella and Jacob had become to each other over the course of the other three books. i also wasn't impressed with Bella being happy to see Jake while she was pregnant because Nessie(gag!) was happy to see him. way to rewrite history, Steph!! Bella was always happy to see Jake. Nessie or no Nessie.

okay. things i did like. Jake showing up to the wedding despite how much pain it caused him, the separation of the pack even if it did mean seeing less of them, Bella getting vamped, Bella's power, meeting some of the other covens and Bella finally being able to let Edward read her mind. honestly? i could leave everything else out. the second half of the book had us leading up to this epic battle and then what? Aro just says, "okay guys! you got us! frienz?!". pffffffft... i'll take the tent scene and battle from Eclipse please!

oh and the "sex" scenes? ha! i felt like i had skipped a few pages after Bella and Edward's first time. it was all, "let's go swimming! yay! the moon is beautiful! no, you are! i love you forever ever! ... i bruised you!!". i mean, seriously? *rollseyes forever*

i think i'm going to go reread New Moon and Eclipse now to get out the bad taste Breaking Dawn has left in my mouth. who else wants to pretend these books are a trilogy?

You liked more about it than I did! I'm so wholly disappointed in this book. I'm right there with you regarding the trilogy plan!

Have you heard about all the people taking their copies back to the bookshops for refunds because they hated it so much?

I didn't think it was that bad, surprisingly.. I mean I didn't love it, there were alot of eyeroll ugh moments, but I was kinda expecting the and everyone lived happily ever after moments so it didn't surprise me all that much.

Renesme though, what the hell kinda name is that! Ugh!

OMG WOOOOOOOOOORD TO ALL OF IT!! Yes, Jacob showing up to the wedding made me cry. The one and only time. Of course I forgot about that what with the other 700 pages of SUCK!

I'm going to pretend it's a trilogy too... and read LOTS of fic. *scrubs brain*

Okay, I'm not quite done yet - still @ 100 pages to go. But this is.. yeah. I agree with what you said above. I'm also amused/annoyed at the elements from Anne Rice being brought in, and twisted (ie the immortal children, the Romanians turning to stone statues). Those might've been done before Anne, I don't know, but that's what my head associates them with.

And Renesmee Carlie Cullen? Seriously? WTF is that name?
