my mom just woke me up and told me about the space shuttle, Columbia. it's hard not to think about the Challenger when you hear that. even though i was only about 6 and a half when that happened. i do remember it. i was at home with my mother and my sister came running down the stairs saying that the Challenger had blown up. from that point on we were all glued to the television. my dad wrote a poem dedicated to them. i'll see if i can find that and post it.

*sigh* seven more brave lives lost. my prayers are with their friends and family.

RIP Rick Husband, Michael Anderson, Kalpana Chawla, William McCool, David Brown, Laurel Clark and Ilan Ramon.

I know....I remember I was at school.....and we all stopped to watch the take off htat day cuz it was such a big deal.....and much like 9/11 we all just kinda watched in disbelief (believing it couldn't be real) but with 6 1/2 year old eyes......very sad
