now that the holidays are officially over and i'm not running to and fro, i wanted to make a post thanking those who sent me christmas/holiday cards. i apologize that i couldn't return the favor this year, but i loved getting them! (hopefully next year i won't be such a suckass.)

so thank you helygen, paksenarrion2, outoftime, bratalie, austin154, janni518, schnappycat, slackerace, herowlness, chi2cali, maidofawesome and quaintshopgirl. i loved seeing all the different cards! especially the homemade one a la maidofawesome! and the ones with pictures of you or your family members! ( i hung them up on my doors. )

i'm also going to take this opportunity to post my 100 movies in 2008 list. i didn't quite make it to 100 this year, but i think a lot of that had to do with there not being a whole lot of movies released that i cared to see. here's hoping 2009 is a better year for movies and me!

on my way home from work i was at a stop light behind this car and had to do a double take.



yes, you are seeing correctly. that is a Corolla that has been "transformed" into what appears to be a truck. they've got a homemade "cover" on it complete with a padlock. i wish i'd gotten a picture of it from the side because it was the most hilarious thing i've seen all day and totally made me think of the Top Gear guys.

who does this? wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a truck? people are cah-razy!
