okay...so. as most of you know, my sister is having a baby girl. she's tossing around different ways of spelling "jayden". why? i don't know. i don't really like the name, but that's beside the point. so take the poll below and help her decide which spelling is best.

----
edited because i suck. that last one? yeah. that should be jaiden. *cough*

Even worse ;) In between spelling stuff out she'll have to put up with teasing ;)

... or maybe not. if it's a typical girls name. ;)

What's wrong with the name Els?

Great name! I picked Jaidin solely because it looks kind of like jardin, which is the french word for garden and quite appropriate for a little girl!

I'm a freak who likes 'ae' combinations.

This is going to be one of the poor, hapless children whose name NEVER gets spelled or pronounced correctly.

Or...then again.....hee! You can call her Jaye for short. :D

I'm thinking Jayden or even Jaydin or Jaydan just so the spelling and pronunciation is easy.

Opting for Jayden, because I just don't like the -dyn ending. And my ex-boyfriend's son is named "Jaiden" and that's just weird to me. Apparently it's a very in name now- a few celeb couples have Jaidens.

I picked Jayden.

The reason is because that is exactly the way the name SOUNDS. That will help her learn to spell her own name when she starts school...and also help other people spell it when she is older.

:)

I voted for Jayden - although gotta say I'm with you on the not really liking the name to begin with. I'd go for Jayden purely cause the other spellings could really lead to the name being pronounced horribly in other languages and sound nothing like it's intended :)

I picked Jayden. Also can I say I love the song you put at the bottom of the post. Possibly the best song they ever did.

Can I go off the charts and say "Jaden"? I believe that's the Hebrew spelling of the name...at least, that's the way our pastor spells his son's name.

I know this is old. I hope your sister and baby are doing well... but I was playing around at some baby sites and ended up at babynames.com. JADEN/JAYDEN was the second most popular name (for BOYS) in 2003.
