it's so freaking nice to have cable and internet again. i'm watching The Breakfast Club for about the millionth time. i love this movie so freaking much. i could watch it every day and not get tired of it. so many quotable lines.

plus so many others. this is one of those movies that gets quoted constantly in my family. especially the "how'd you like to go fishing this weekend" quote. my cousin and i can recite the entire movie while watching. we drive others insane when we do so, but it's our way. *g*

ION, i just finished listening to the first ever VM podcast. it's a bit rough at the moment, but i have a feeling they will feel more comfortable as time goes on. listening to it kind of reminded me of the fun i used to have listening to Kitty and Candy on the Succubus Club. i miss those two.

Grey's Anatony was fabulous tonight. the past two episodes have actually made me like Meredith and that's a good thing. i don't enjoy not liking the title character of a show.

people on the flist(who are in the VM fandom) are lamenting the negativity. i was oblivious to it until today when eirefaerie mentioned an anonymous meme. kinda shocked it hasn't perforated the veronica_mars comm. so anyway, i scooted on over to _elektra's journal to see what all the hubbub was about. i must be getting old because all of the crap that's brought up has been done to death and instead of making me angry, it made me laugh. or shake my head at how the internets turn. different fandom? same chocolate covered shit(SO to Michael Muhney! i've heard the stories. kiss your mother with that mouth?). seriously though, this little anonymous meme? people always act so surprised when anonymous memes turn so nasty. hello...it's human nature that we act like inconsiderate jackholes if we think no one knows who we are. not to mention that it's been freaking forever since we've had a new episode to discuss/drool over/bitch about. people get antsy. they lash out. here's a thought. don't want memes like that to get dirty? don't let anonymous people post. if a screename isn't anonymous enough for someone to use to post "how they really feel" then i don't have much use for them.

last night the family and i watched Elf. i have so much love for this movie. it is SO SILLY, but it never fails to make me laugh. i don't even really like Will Farrell, but i've decided watching Elf is going to become a holiday tradition for me. much like watching Rudolph or The Grinch. my reaction to Elf is much like my reaction to Liar, Liar. i don't really like Jim Carrey in anything else(except Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and it doesn't really count as a normal Carrey movie), but Liar, Liar is one of my favorite movies. so if you haven't seen Elf simply because Will Farrell gets on your last nerve, believe me, it's funny.

this morning upon waking, i remembered my dream. well...i remembered what i was dreaming about. not really what was happening. normally this doesn't happen unless the dream is tramatic in some way. this one? not so much. i was dreaming about the VM chronology project. i have no idea why because it's been ages since i've watched it. maybe it was because i'd been reading my flist and saw people expressing a wish for flashbacks to make a comeback. *shrug* human brains are a mystery to me.

in other fandom news, i can't believe there aren't more sleeves icons. surely buffyx and i aren't alone in our kink. i refuse to accept that.
